


King College, located in
Bristol, Tennessee, is in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains at
an altitude of about 1,800 feet. The 130-acre hilltop campus is two
miles from the center of Bristol, a city of 43,300 residents. Bristol
is actually two cities of almost equal size; Bristol, Tennessee, and
Bristol, Virginia.
Many Festival events will be held in the beautiful King College Memorial Chapel.
The Memorial Chapel, with seating for 650, is the site of services and convocations. The lower level
has classrooms, rehearsal rooms (piano, voice, organ, and harpsichord), and faculty offices for the Department of Performing
and Visual Arts.
Accommodations at special AMAP rates are available at the La Quinta Inn,
which is located at Exit 7 off interstate 81 in Bristol, Virginia. The rates are $60 for Wednesday and Thursday, and $64 for Friday and Saturday evenings.
